Here’s what I love about this location — you’re right in the heart of Yangpu District’s commercial hub, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Wujiaochang is basically Shanghai’s answer to a modern business district, with massive shopping complexes and the subway literally at your doorstep. The hotel sits on Guoding East Road, which means you can walk to Hopson One shopping mall in about three minutes (I timed it). Plus, couples seem to really get this area — there’s something romantic about those evening strolls through the nearby university district.

Room Experience

The room I stayed in was what I’d call “smart modern” — everything felt thoughtfully designed rather than just trendy. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and they’ve got these floor-to-ceiling windows that make the space feel much larger than it actually is. What really impressed me was the bathroom setup; it’s compact but efficient, with this rainfall shower that actually has decent water pressure. You know what’s nice? The blackout curtains actually work, which is crucial when you’re dealing with Shanghai’s neon-bright nights.

Practical Perks

Let me tell you about the parking situation — it’s free, which in Shanghai is basically like finding a unicorn. I mean, most hotels in the city center charge ridiculous amounts for parking, so this alone could save you a decent chunk of money if you’re driving. The hotel also has this efficient check-in process that doesn’t involve standing around for twenty minutes, which I appreciated after a long flight. The WiFi is solid throughout the building, and there’s a small fitness center that’s nothing fancy but gets the job done.

  Hotel nice, located near metro station and a nice mall as well as ner several place to eat (hotel offers only breakfast by money)
  Nice lobby, good bedromm and pillows
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately no credit cards accepted, they say none work or do not have founds, of course totally false. One year ago I was able to pay by credit card, this time no. Fortunately I had registered a credit card on wechat (before travelling to China) and that saved the day.
  Other problem it is hotel staff does not speak english, just one operator was minimally able to communicate in english

  The hotel and room are very good! The photos are accurate. It was spacious and comfortable. It was clean and had everything I could need! I appreciate the constant drinking water refills.
  
  The subway is fairly close, there is also a bus stop and there are large shopping malls nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Staff had some difficulty with English and Mastercard was not accepted directly despite it being listed on booking.com, using Alipay with my Mastercard linked was no problem however.

  This was a business trip, hotel was selected due to its near positiono to our meetiings.

  What could be improved: Closest metro is 1,5km far away. Tiny rooms, big monitor which works on day and night in your windows. Stuff doesn't speak English. I do not reccommend, too high price for such place – it's not Hyatt even on 50 %
