Here’s what I love about the West Haiyang Road location — you’re close enough to the Bund to easily catch those iconic skyline views, but far enough away to avoid the constant tourist crowds. Couples especially seem to appreciate this balance, and I can see why. You can walk along the Huangpu River in the evenings without fighting through selfie sticks, and there are some excellent local restaurants within a few blocks that most visitors never discover. The metro connections are solid too, so getting to other parts of Shanghai is straightforward when you want to explore beyond Pudong.

The breakfast buffet here is honestly one of the better hotel spreads I’ve encountered in Shanghai. They’ve got the international standards covered — good coffee, fresh pastries, made-to-order eggs — but what sets it apart is the quality of the Chinese options. The congee station alone is worth getting up early for, and they do these delicate steamed buns that disappear quickly once the morning crowd arrives. The dining room has great natural light too, which makes starting your day feel less rushed and more civilized than grabbing something on the go.

  Staff Lin helped me a lot during the stay. He helped me to transfer the luggage to next hotel with great sense of responsibility. Even there were some problem encountered during the process, he handled it with patience and kindness.
