Very nice balcony on 6th floor, very clean, perfect location
What could be improved: When I checked in the staff gave me a wrong, cheaper room at first and didn’t even warn me. When I complained, they said my actual room is busy so they put me into another room just for one night. However, if I wouldn’t notice they’d probably not even do it… So make sure they check you into a proper room you paid for.Thompson from New Zealand – 8 May 2025 (8/10)
The young man Lou who was on the front counter was exceptional and very helpful, also the location was great.
What could be improved: The room was a bit dated but you get what you pay forDeborah from United Kingdom – 3 May 2025 (8/10)
The property was in a fabulous location, the rooms were very clean and the shower had the best water pressure. It also has a really cute robot running around delivering food, that added to our daily entertainment.
What could be improved: Wafer thin walls! We could hear the tv of the adjoining room that seemed to back onto our bedroom wall, our friends in the next room could hear our voices, and we could hear the very loud voices of anyone in the vicinity of our room – such as an argument by one family, as they banged their doors, another family staying up late with their tv on who seemed to be yelling at each other. We were there 4 nights, and every night there seemed to be drama with different neighbours, all noisy.Pravin from India – 27 April 2025 (9/10)

Location-right next to Yu Garden and shopping centre
What could be improved: Very hard to get the staff to respond to my queries prior to arrivalYvette from New Zealand – 22 April 2025 (9/10)
Honestly the perfect location. So close to the metro and Yu Yuan Gardens, and a nice walk to the Bund. Plenty of restaurants (including Starbucks for those after a strong coffee) and shops right around the corner too. The room wasn’t huge but fit our needs perfectly. We didn’t notice any noise from other guests at all.
The staff were helpful and pleasant.
The terrace was a nice little bonus, though worth noting you don’t have street views, but get a lovely view of some of the lights in the area at night. I would definitely recommend one of the terrace rooms if you like some natural light, and I believe there are a lot of rooms which are internal and have no windows (just something to keep in mind when booking).Thi from Singapore – 21 April 2025 (9/10)
exceptional location and friendly staff. Easily accessible to all popular locations in Shanghai. Highly recommended.
What could be improved: the room is not sound proof and there is a smoking smell perhaps from the ventilation system.Kitty from Netherlands – 11 April 2025 (8/10)
Lovely hotel in the middle of a busy area. Lots of things to see and to do in the neighbourhood (even in the late evening). Beds were very comfortable!
Paulo from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (8/10)
Location, room size, cleanliness.
What could be improved: Reception area was weird, like a corridor.
And some noisy people smoking in our floorZhanel from Netherlands – 31 March 2025 (9/10)
The location of the hotel was great!
