上海客堂涧酒店宝山路地铁站店 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into 上海客堂涧酒店宝山路地铁站店, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I needed” feeling. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a solid, well-run three-star hotel that actually gets the basics right. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions. From the moment you arrive, the attention to detail becomes apparent in every corner of the property.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about staying in Jing’an District — you’re basically in the sweet spot of Shanghai. The hotel sits on Qiujiang Road, and I mean this when I say the metro access is genuinely convenient (couples rate the location 8.7, which makes total sense). You can walk to Baoshan Road Station without breaking a sweat, and from there, you’re connected to pretty much everywhere you’d want to go. The neighborhood has that lived-in Shanghai feel — local eateries mixed with convenience stores, real people going about their day. Business travelers particularly appreciate how quickly they can reach major commercial districts.
The Room Experience
My room was, well, exactly what you’d expect from a well-managed mid-range place. Clean sheets, decent shower pressure, and — this matters more than you’d think — proper blackout curtains that actually block the city lights. The air conditioning worked without sounding like a jet engine, and there were enough outlets near the bed for your phone and laptop. Nothing fancy, but everything functional, which is honestly refreshing after staying in places that prioritize Instagram-worthy decor over basic comfort. The furnishings are practical and durable, designed for guests who value substance over style.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here feel surprisingly relaxed for such a busy part of the city. The breakfast setup is straightforward — think congee, eggs, some Western options, decent coffee. You know what I appreciated most? The timing worked with real traveler schedules, not some arbitrary hotel timeline. After breakfast, you can step outside and immediately feel plugged into Shanghai’s rhythm. There’s a small restaurant next door that locals actually use, which tells you something about the neighborhood’s authenticity. The dining options nearby cater to both international and local tastes.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll be posting dramatic photos of on social media, but it’s the kind of place you’ll actually recommend to friends. The 8.6 rating reflects what I experienced — solid execution of the fundamentals without any unpleasant surprises. The location really is the star here, giving you that perfect balance of being connected to everything while still feeling like you’re staying somewhere with character. For the price point, you’re getting honest value in a city where that’s not always easy to find. Repeat guests consistently praise the reliability and consistency of their experiences here.

Everything was just perfect. It felt like staying at a high-end hotel to be honest. The amenities were amazing. Location was also great, in a not very touristy area, but still near the bund (like 20min bike ride). Subway station was just a few minutes away.
What could be improved: No complaints at all.Sha95 from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (9/10)
Spacious room with kitchenette and washing machine. They also provide washing liquid and toiletries. The accommodation was really clean and in a good location, near the metro, restaurants and bikes. The curtains can be opened and closed remotely from the bed! Great value for the money!

We stayed here for almost a week so we were not sure of it but I must say everything went good.
The place is nearby a metro station so comes very in handy if you don't want to take may didis or taxis. The room was upgraded so we had a very big room with a fancy japanese toilet that was broken, unfortunately, so I don't see the use for that if you leave the remote broken but whatever. The washing machine came super in handy because it also had the dryer. The kitchen is not so useful seeing you have nothing so if you want to use that keep in mind it's not viable (we didn't need to use that so yeah, did not care).
Recommend this place for the price and the position, it's nice.Tuan from Vietnam – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
Great stay in Shanghai, the hotel was close to the metro station, not far from the main railways station and had a lot of restaurants nearby. The room was well equipped, modern and clean. We had a good night rest. The staff let us check in earlier and allowed us to leave the luggages after checkout so we could freely explore the city before taking our flight. Overall a really good experience and excellent value for money!

Great stay. A bit further out of downtown but still enjoyed the comfort. It was perfect for our late landing. Also he@; our bags for our late flight the next day.
What could be improved: For a traveler on a 10 day visa, it was a bit far to se the sights but was perfect for a crash after a late flight. We didn’t have the luxury of time.Giacomo from Germany – 29 March 2025 (9/10)
Clean, strategically located, easy to get a free upgrade, big and modern rooms, amazing buffet breakfast.

The location near the metro station was excellent. The local restaurants nearby made it very easy to find somewhere close to eat.
