Reviews

  • Lokhandwala from India – 29 May 2025 (9/10)

Its in a peaceful place after all day work can get a proper sleep,

What could be improved: The option in Bf was very less and not give name tag i don't eat pork so i was not comfortable have any thing just had eegs and tea

  • Jakub from Czech Republic – 27 April 2025 (9/10)

Room, surroundings, room details – gramophone, teamaker, lightning; big projector screen instead of tv…

What could be improved: Average Chinese breakfast ( not bad but too oily/heavy); poor WiFi on the room

  • Paulina from Poland – 17 April 2025 (9/10)

The staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was good and room was big!

What could be improved: I saw an empty bottle left by another guest under my bed but apart from that room was spotless clean

  • Gabriel from South Africa – 1 December 2024 (9/10)

The size of the room, and the decor and features in the room, truly surprised me. The attention to detail, is next-level, and so amazing to see how they supported small businesses in the area, with the items in the room, and around the hotel. The breakfast was also really good. If you walk around the complex, you'll also be amazed at all the very creative small businesses, which was great for gift shopping! And right behind the hotel there was also a nightly street food market, which was also very nice.

What could be improved: Not being able to research public transport properly from outside of China (was blocked), I was a bit disappointed as to how far away the hotel was from the closest train station (20 minute walk). So that was just a bit disappointing, but I could easily catch a Didi from the hotel, to the train station, for only 20 – 30 Chinese Yuan.

  • Michael from United Kingdom – 12 November 2024 (9/10)

TBH is a haven of culture in Shanghai. It’s a unique hotel with many quaint touches that made me smile. The staff were also excellent.

  • Chloi from Greece – 2 November 2024 (9/10)

Helpful staff, comfortable common spaces, beautifully designed. The property is situated at a 'real' neighbourhood of Shanghai, with lots of shops and little restaurants around, parks and a big mall, and has easy access to two metro stops.

  • Belette from Belgium – 11 October 2024 (9/10)

Beautifully designed & furnished hotel. In a friendly neighbourhood far from the madness of Shanghai, though that is easily accessible.

The staff were amazing. Really helpful & friendly. All of them. Especially Spring.

I’d like to thank them all.

    What could be improved: Design

  • Алина from Belarus – 29 August 2024 (9/10)

Perfect place to stay both for work and for rest!

  • Shakuntla from India – 8 August 2024 (8/10)

The fragranxe of the hotel was good.
It was well maintained better than any 5 star hotel.

What could be improved: Very limited people working qt reception
Guest do not get any help with the luggage

  • Chris from Sri Lanka – 11 July 2024 (9/10)

This is my second time staying in this hotel. Overall very good service, staff and very clean. Little bit far from metro about 2 km. probably TV in the room would be nice.
