Reviews

  • Angelina from Philippines – 17 April 2025 (7/10)

Although the location was quite far from the city center, it still saved us a lot of money even when we mostly took DiDi rides. The hotel itself was old upon looking at its interior, it still was clean and comfortable to sleep in. Nearby restaurants, milk tea places, and a C-Store. Beds were comfortable.

The only downside during our stay were the staff (or I think only because it's their personality to not be as friendly and accommodating as hotel staff in the Philippines). No help was offered to help bring our luggages in our room, but we didn't mind it at first. What I was shocked about is how I called for a bell boy during check-out and they said "ok", but upon going down to ask again they just let me take the trolley to bring up to our room and transport the luggages down ourselves.

Only the housekeeping staff were only the people greeting and smiling at us.

  • Tushar from United Arab Emirates – 16 March 2025 (8/10)

Location, near to metro and railway station

What could be improved: Lack of communication, staff was unable to understand what we wanted ( example plates, spoon) – No English

Although it was cool outside, but still the room was quite warm and there was no option of an AC

  • Jaenelle from Japan – 18 September 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: Breakfast was meh

  • Mai from Vietnam – 7 September 2024 (8/10)

Rooms are spacious and soundproof. Staff can speak English but very limited.
The location is very convenient for metro and train users. The hotel locates near Exit 6 of Shanghai Railway Station, but the elevator to approach ground level is inside another building (with instruction) but you have to talk with the metro staff for assistance.

What could be improved: There is no minibar/fridge though there are plenty of spaces.

  • Olimpia from Sweden – 6 September 2024 (8/10)

Good location, near train station and subway

  • D from Netherlands – 12 July 2024 (8/10)

Just across the square from the main Shanghai station, although one has to walk around the back of a small block to get to the entrance. Close to Line 1 subway entrance at the SE corner of the square. Many small good late-hours restaurants close by.

  • Gavin from Singapore – 20 June 2024 (8/10)

    Great place to stay

  • Ștergărel – 29 April 2025 (7/10)

The location near the train station is good as I had a train in the morning and i could walk. The sheets were clean.

What could be improved: The reception barely speaks english which is a big downside. Also, the furniture is old and not well maintained.

  • Md from Bangladesh – 11 April 2025 (7/10)

Convenient and making life easier to travel to everywhere in Shanghai specially by MERTO

What could be improved: restaurants around the hotel with delicious foods that we liked very much

  • Ai from Denmark – 20 March 2025 (7/10)

    Cleanliness
