Pudong might feel like it’s on the other side of the world from central Shanghai, but Kerry Hotel’s position is actually pretty strategic. You’re right in the heart of the business district, which means excellent metro connections and — this is key — you can literally walk indoors to the New International Expo Centre without dealing with Shanghai’s unpredictable weather. The couples who stay here absolutely love it (they rate the location 9.5), and I get why. There’s something romantic about those Pudong skyline views, especially at night when everything lights up.

The Rooms

The rooms feel spacious by Shanghai standards, which is saying something. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase either the city skyline or the Huangpu River — both pretty spectacular, though I’d lean toward the river view if you have a choice. The beds are that perfect firmness that luxury hotels seem to nail, and the bathrooms have those deep soaking tubs that actually make you want to take a bath. Little touches matter here too — the lighting controls are intuitive, and there’s plenty of desk space if you need to work.

Dining & Amenities

Breakfast is where this place really shines. The buffet spans Asian and American options, but it’s the quality that impressed me most — fresh dim sum, proper congee, and surprisingly good Western pastries. The private parking is a godsend in Shanghai (seriously, don’t underestimate this), and the fitness center has those panoramic city views that make treadmill sessions almost enjoyable. The pool area feels like an urban oasis, which sounds cheesy but it’s true — you forget you’re in the middle of one of the world’s busiest cities.

  I like the location because next to the exhibition center, and it has many good foods and nice shopping mall as well, and access to the subway station is just below the mall. It has great fitness center as well so big and very well equipped, nice and branded equipment from Star Trac, but the machines are old but still comfortable to be used unless for the cables of the machines have not get adjusted for a long time and most of the cables are loosen, apart from that everything is great.
