  Great location for a visitor to Shanghai. Nice, comfortable room.
  
  What could be improved: Every day, many breakfast items were not restocked once exhausted, even on days I was there 40+ minutes before breakfast ended.

  Located in the middle of shanghai, yet very calm. Close to subway stations and have variety of shops and restaurants around.

  beds were super comfy. Bathroom was big as was the shower! The room service fried rice was amazing and they even took orders at 1am! Let me check in early at 10 am!
  
  What could be improved: the door to the bathroom couldn't be locked, my key card stopped working on the last day of my stay, but they fixed that quickly.

  Old school 5 star hotel, well located and have good service from staff who attended to our needs promptly
  
  What could be improved: The hotel is a little aged and bathroom is somewhat dated, it was still well appointed but could do with an update. It is our understanding they are renovating certain floors, so hopefully this aspect improves. The actual room is better than the photos and is fairly spacious, containing a lounge with coffee table and also a glass work desk.

  Location is very good, walkable, nice cafes around. The room was very big and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: just a small note: it's hard to identify the hotel, as it is a complex with several hotels, even for Chinese taxi (take it with a grain of salt as we arrived at night in a rainy day).

  This is a historic old hotel that I have stayed at many times over the years, with nice rooms and a great location in the French concession.
  
  What could be improved: Front office staff seemed unkempt, ties and jackets noticeably soiled, hair looking like the just got out of bed, and not particularly caring or knowledgeable.
