iNestin Shanghai Apt Xinjinqiao Road Overview

First Impressions

Walking into iNestin Shanghai Apt Xinjinqiao Road, you immediately get that “home away from home” feeling that’s honestly pretty rare in Shanghai. This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s a solid, well-run apartment hotel that just gets the basics right. The lobby is clean and modern without being flashy, and the staff actually seem to care about making your stay comfortable. The attention to detail in common areas reflects the property’s commitment to guest satisfaction.

The Pudong Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re right in the heart of Pudong, but on a street that doesn’t feel completely overwhelming. Xinjinqiao Road gives you that perfect balance where you can walk to plenty of local restaurant and shops, but you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of some other Shanghai neighborhoods. The metro connections are solid too, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to explore the city. Recent guests have been rating the location at 8.7, and I mean, that tracks with my experience. The neighborhood offers excellent accessibility to business districts and cultural attractions throughout the city.

Your Space

The room setup here is what really sets this place apart from typical hotels. You get actual apartment-style accommodations, which means more space to spread out and a proper kitchenette if you want to grab groceries from the local markets. The furnishings are contemporary and practical — nothing fancy, but everything works well. I particularly appreciated having a proper work area, since the WiFi is reliable and the lighting is actually decent for getting things done. Each unit is thoughtfully designed for both comfort and functionality.

Practical Perks

One thing that surprised me was how easy parking turned out to be — they’ve got on-site spots available, which is honestly a godsend in this part of Shanghai. If you’re planning to rent a car or have friends picking you up, that’s one less headache to worry about. The building itself feels secure and well-maintained, and you know what, sometimes those little details matter more than you’d expect when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The property management team is responsive and professional in addressing guest needs.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.6 rating really tells the story here — this is about a place that consistently delivers on what it promises with reliable service and genuine hospitality. Couples seem to particularly enjoy staying here, probably because you get that sense of privacy and normalcy that’s hard to find in busier hotel districts. The value proposition is solid too — you’re getting apartment-style comfort in a great Pudong location without paying premium prices. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel like you’re experiencing Shanghai as more than just a tourist passing through. Guests appreciate the balance of comfort, convenience, and affordability that defines the property.

Reviews of iNestin Shanghai Apt Xinjinqiao Road

  • Andrzej from Poland – 22 December 2024 (9/10)

Very good and professional property management.

  • Dr from Nepal – 26 October 2024 (9/10)

    owner was nice and polite.

  • James from Australia – 14 July 2024 (8/10)

Rooms were spacious with high ceilings which is always nice. Beds were comfortable and there were lots of amenities provided in the room. Fridge contained a dozen or so bottles of water which was handy. Staff were very responsive via WeChat. Plenty of cafe's and shops nearby with late night small convenience open to late in foyer, Late checkout was accommodated – thanks!

What could be improved: Some of the fitting were in slight disrepair i.e. toilet seats loose and shower didn't drain very well – but these were minor and overall the (two) apartments we booked were both clean and tidy.

  • Gecko70 from Netherlands – 24 April 2024 (8/10)

Having lived in China for several years, I often like to stay in a Chinese apartment. Don't expect enormous luxury, but it normally has a number of facilities that you don't find in hotel rooms: a washing machine, fridge, and cooking equipment.
This apartment is a loft and actually has two beds plus what looked like a sleeping couch. So you could easily fit 5-6 people in it. Note that there is not much other furniture, but it was perfect for my purpose of having a quiet place to sleep and work.
It's 10 minutes' walk from the metro station (about 30-45 minutes to get to the city center), and there are many restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood, including the brand new Lalaport Mall.
If you are looking for simple functionality instead of luxury and want to experience more everyday life in Shanghai, this is a good and very affordable place.

What could be improved: As you often see in Chinese apartments, the building materials are not always the best quality and things tend to look a bit run down. For instance, the wood of the bathroom door suffered from wood rot.

  • Madeline from Singapore – 21 April 2024 (9/10)

    Near to public transportation

  • Reddy from Malaysia – 14 March 2024 (9/10)

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nearby to restaurants and grocery stores. Nearby to public transportation e.g. Bus stop and Metro station which is very cheap.
Please take note:- Avoid traveling by taxis which is too expensive because most of the taxi drivers running with tempered meters. They also ask for extra money and if you give cash they won't give the balance.

    What could be improved: Nil

  • Bharath from India – 8 November 2023 (9/10)

The location is excellent. The hotel room is very good and the price is reasonable.

    What could be improved: Wifi

  • Anthony from United Kingdom – 30 October 2023 (7/10)

Host very accommodating with early and late checking in and out.

What could be improved: Code lock to get in can be a bit alarming. If you key in the wrong number it locks you out from trying again and doesn't tell you for how long that will last. Fortunately it only turned out to be a few minutes.

  • Shameem from Bangladesh – 26 April 2023 (9/10)

    Room was clean.
All necessary utensils and cleaning materials were available

What could be improved: TV operation was difficult.
    No complementary water was given
