iNestin Shanghai Apt Lujiazui Overview
First Impressions
Walking into iNestin Shanghai Apt Lujiazui, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s tucked inside the Tangchen Business Center on Zhangyang Road, which honestly feels a bit like discovering a hidden gem in plain sight. The building itself has that modern Shanghai business district vibe — clean lines, lots of glass, and the kind of efficient energy that makes the city tick. You know what struck me most? How quiet it gets once you’re inside, despite being right in the heart of one of the world’s busiest financial districts.
Location Perks
The Lujiazui area is absolutely perfect if you want to be where the action is. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by those iconic Shanghai skyscrapers — the Oriental Pearl Tower is practically your neighbor, and the Shanghai Tower looms impressively nearby. What couples seem to love (and honestly, I get it) is how walkable everything becomes from here. The Bund is just across the river, easily reachable by the pedestrian tunnel or a quick metro ride. Plus, there’s something romantic about watching the city lights reflect off the Huangpu River from this side of Pudong.
The Apartment Experience
This three-star place operates more like serviced apartments than traditional hotel rooms, which actually works really well for longer stays. Each apartment comes with its own kitchen setup — nothing fancy, but totally functional if you want to grab groceries from the nearby markets and cook something simple. The room layouts feel more spacious than typical Shanghai accommodations, probably because they’re designed for extended business travelers. I appreciated having a proper living area separate from the sleeping space, especially after long days exploring the city.
Practical Advantages
Getting around from here is surprisingly straightforward once you figure out the metro connections. Lujiazui station puts you on Line 2, which basically connects you to everywhere you’d want to go as a visitor. The business center location means there are plenty of decent restaurant options within walking distance — not tourist traps, but actual places where locals grab lunch. Parking is available if you’re brave enough to drive in Shanghai (though honestly, the metro is your friend here).
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it balances being right in the financial district without feeling sterile or overly corporate. The staff understands that most guests are either here for extended business trips or want to experience Shanghai from a local perspective rather than the typical tourist bubble. Recent guests consistently praise the location — and after staying here, it’s easy to see why couples rate it so highly for romantic getaways. There’s something special about having your own little Shanghai apartment base while being steps away from some of the most impressive urban scenery in Asia.
Shanghai hotels keep guests close to Pudong observatories, art deco towers, and hidden teahouses.

Faiza from South Africa – 2 May 2025 (9/10)
A lovely parquet-floored apartment with huge windows with easy-to- use blinds overlooking Shanghai in two directions: its iconic towers and the busy Huangpu river.
Sparklingly new appliances: aircon. fridge, TV , zippy washing machine, closet and a comfortable bed.
The host sent new towels and a pan – which sat safely waiting for us outside the front door. This safe location is 15 minute walk to the Shangcheng metro station on Line 9 with a fresh food market along the way.
Coming from Cape Town 'village', we were kindly assisted by the host. We will certainly seek out this well-priced apartment on our return visits to Shanghai.
What could be improved: That we had only 9 days to explore the varied attractions of this futuristic city with its magnificent museums and archaeological heritage sites such as Guangfulin. While Shanghai metro is bery cheap, foodstuffs are expensive.James from United Kingdom – 17 October 2024 (9/10)
Incredible view for the price, you can see the three towers lined up perfectly from the bed. From the pictures on the listing, this listing is for multiple rooms and the other(s) face towards the river only. My room was #2015.
Estefa27 from Costa Rica – 22 August 2024 (7/10)
The view to the building's in the Lujiazui area is unbeatable. The location is great, nearby cool restaurants, shopping centers, at the doorstep of a bus station and about 1.5 km to the metro station. The price was the best I could find in the area.
What could be improved: The room was not very well kept and the chosen furniture seem cheap. Not a very comfortable bed and the bathroom needed better cleansing. Thus, decent soap and shampoo were not provided.Zoe from United States – 24 July 2024 (9/10)
Apartment was basic but comfortable and it was very helpful to have a washing machine. Host was helpful and offered regular cleanings. The location is great, only ~25 min walking to Lujiazui and right beside the east Bund walking paths. Easy access to two different metro lines and to the ferry.
What could be improved: It would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board availableGanna from China – 24 June 2024 (4/10)
Location
What could be improved: The apartment is really old and needs to update the repair, especially bathroom: the plumbing is very old, the doors to the bathroom open with a terrible loud squeak. Beside that since the apartment has been converted from an office space, it lacks normal noise insulation.Momin from United Kingdom – 31 January 2024 (9/10)
perfect location
What could be improved: everything was perfectFilipp from Russia – 27 October 2023 (9/10)
Nice location 10 minutes on foot away from the nearest metro station, a helpful host
Madeleine from Germany – 17 October 2023 (6/10)
I liked the location and the staff was really nice. The guards were also great and helpful.
What could be improved: The building and rooms seem to be old – on the floor of my apartment, renovations were going on – it all looked like under construction. The room of the bathroom made an unbearable sound when being opened or closed.
The cleaning service only came on the weekend and only when you tell them to do so. Also, I paid much money: per week, I paid over 2900 RMB. Expensive.Sean from United Kingdom – 28 August 2023 (9/10)
Great staff, great central location and very clean. Will 100% book again if I return to Shanghai! AMAZING view as well.
What could be improved: No complaints at all 😊David from United Kingdom – 18 April 2023 (8/10)
Good central location and good value for money. Very helpful owner.
What could be improved: Shower temperature was very difficult to control. The bathroom would benefit from some renovation. Kitchen could have done with some plates, to cater for non-Chinese guests. Some information on local shops and restaurants would have been useful, especially those which would accept VISA cards.
